3 A Molecular Sieve

The 3A form is made by substituting potassium cations for the inherent sodium ions of the 4A structure, reducing the effective pore size to ~3,excluding diameter >3,e.g. ethane.They can be used for drying of gases and liquids as well as the dewatering of hydrocarbon.It is extensively used for the deep drying of petroleum,cracked gases,ethane,propene and natural gases,the drying of the air in hollow glass,and the drying of refrigerant as well.
